With campaigning under way in Germany's general election politicians there are being forced to confront some unwelcome truths about Europe's richest country. Seen from the outside as phenomenally successful, life inside German is not quite so glossy. For Our World Katya Adler has travelled across Germany to assess the state of the nation. She discovers growing poverty and inequality, a shrinking workforce thanks to an ageing population, overcrowded, potholed roads and a lack of fast internet connections, even in the capital, Berlin.
