Celtic Connections 2017 opening night with Kathryn Tickell
Celtic Connections opening night: Glasgow's winter celebration of music from the Celtic world and beyond opens in grand style. Kathryn Tickell is at the city's Royal Concert Hall to introduce a performance by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jules Buckley, joined by leading artists from this year's festival, including Scotland's Katrine Polwart, Rachel Sermanni and Adam Holmes, Saharawi singer Aziza Brahim, Cara Dillon and Declan O'Rourke from Ireland plus, for the whole of the second half, English singer-songwriter Laura Marling.
