Jon Hillcock sits in for #Glasgow6Music

Duration:
2 hours
First broadcast:
Sunday 27 July 2014

With the spotlight on Glasgow this week thanks to the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Now Playing invites listeners to create a playlist celebrating the city's rich music heritage.

Jon Hillcock sits in for Tom Robinson to present this fully interactive show driven by social media, which gives the 6 Music audience control of the playlist plus we hear from online communities connected to the Glasgow music scene.

Listeners can pick both established and emerging artists from the city from Primal Scream and Mogwai to Trembling Bells, artists on Glasgow-based labels such as The Delgados' Chemikal Underground, acts who've played the legendary King Tut's Wah Wah Hut or any other clever Glasgow music connection.

Send in suggestions via Twitter using #Glasgow6Music, post on the Now Playing blog or the 6 Music and Now Playing Facebook pages, drag tracks onto the collaborative Spotify and Rdio playlists, or via the other usual live show contact methods.
