Micky Yule

Bomb blast survivor Micky Yule speaks to journalist Neil Mackay about his moment of fear after having his legs blown off when he stood on an IED, whilst serving with the British Army in Afghanistan in 2010. Micky also talks about the psychological impact it can have on you working in an area that is littered with hidden IEDs and the harsh reality of having to face your fears every time you go out on patrol. He describes the moment of waking up in hospital as a double amputee and about his incredible story of qualifying to compete in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
