Wagner tuba

Jamie MacDougall gets a brass masterclass in an unusual instrument, the Wagner tuba, from Andy Saunders, ahead of the Red Note Ensemble's forthcoming Noisy Night gig.

Robert Irvine, Lecturer in Cello at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland- and member of Red Note- joins Jamie to talk about the RCS's PLUG Festival of new music, which gives students the opportunity to premiere their work to big audiences.

Jonathan Morton, Artistic Director of the Scottish Ensemble, will be in to talk about some sessions with a difference, put on by this ever-inventive group.

Crime author Caro Ramsay talks about the music that has meant the most to her in My Music.

Plus, as ever, we'll be playing the very best in classical music.
