Eòrpa reports from Serbia, where incidents of domestic abuse for both men and women are on the rise, and also from Sweden and the plight of Syrian refugees.

  • Refugees in Sweden

    Around three years have passed since war began in Syria and in that time, millions have fled from their homes. Most of them are still in their own country or in the countries surrounding Syria, but many are trying to get safety in the European Union and there is no country as open to refugees as Sweden.

  • Domestic violence in Serbia

    Every second woman in Serbia has suffered a form of domestic violence at least once in their lifetime, be it physical, psychological sexual or economic violence, according to research.   The number of people dying as a result of domestic violence is also increasing.  It was reported that 76 adults and four children lost their lives last year.  Eòrpa reports from Serbia to find out why domestic violence is so prevalent there.
