Laine began her music career by joining a band led by John Dankworth in the 1950s. She's performed in numerous stage productions including "A Little Night Music" and "Into The Woods" and has also enjoyed huge success in her recording and touring career. She became the first female performer to have received Grammy nominations in the jazz, popular and classical music categories.
