Mary Ann Kennedy presents a special Classics Unwrapped featuring the film music of Slumdog Millionnaire composer AR Rahman, recorded recently at Glasgow's Celtic Connections festival where Rahman perfomed with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

For Slumdog Millionaire Rahman won the 2009 Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and won two out of three nominations for the Academy Awards, including one for Best Original Score and one for Best Original Song for Jai Ho. This concert features Rahman's music from that film as well as from Elizabeth: The Golden Age, starring Cate Blanchett, and the Danny Boyle survival drama 127 Hours.
