Create the Ultimate 6 Music Festival Playlist

6 Music itself was the subject of much of the online buzz this week, following the announcement of the first ever 6 Music Festival.

So in celebration, Tom Robinson asks listeners to create their Ultimate 6 Music Festival Playlist - inspired by the incredible line-up of acts performing at the two-day event in Manchester from 28 February to 1 March.

There's a feast of music to choose from thanks to Damon Alban, Franz Ferdinand, The National, Haim, latest Mercury Prize winner James Blake, Kelis, Metronomy, Bombay Bicycle Club, Groove Armada and Tim Burgess revealed as just some of the 30 or so acts taking part in the inaugural festival.

Listeners can pick rare or classic music by those on the line-up - or any interesting connection that springs to mind.

Simply Tweet playlist suggestions with the hashtag #6musicfestival, post on the Now Playing Facebook page, email nowplaying@bbc.co.uk, text 64046 (during the live show only) or drag tracks onto the collaborative Spotify and Rdio playlists via the Now Playing Blog.

Plus throughout the show, we'll be hearing from many of the acts themselves on the 6 Music Festival bill, as they pick their favourite tracks from other artists on the line-up, to create a very special festival playlist.
