Liz chats to Scottish singer songwriter Eddi Reader, who releases her 10th solo studio album Vagabond next month.
She shot to fame in 1988 with her band Fairground Attraction, when their debut single Perfect topped the chart. It went on to win best single at the next years Brit awards. Their first album, The First of a
Million Kisses reached number two and won best album at the Brits. The band split the following year.
After spending time as an actress, she released her first solo album in 1992. In 1994 she released her self-titled second solo album, which won her the "Best female singer" BRIT Award that year.
In 2003, she recorded her album of material by Robert Burns, with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
