This time last year Laura Mvula was an almost unknown singer-songwriter, when her EP "She" was picked by the BBC and she was named as one of the Sounds of 2013. Then in February she released her first album ‘Sing to the Moon’ to critical acclaim and for which she received two MOBO awards and was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. This year she's also toured America, played Glastonbury and contributed to the soundtrack of the film "12 Years A Slave" coming out on general release this week.
