Emeli Sandé’s debut album ‘Our Version of Events’ was released in February 2012 and went on to become the best selling album in the UK that year. Emeli really made her mark on the public’s consciousness when she performed at the opening ceremony of London 2012 and delivered a show-stopping rendition of the hymn “Abide With Me” – an appeal to God to stay with us throughout the trials of life and death. This year has seen Emeli touring America and singing at the White House for President Obama.
