Shelagh examines the impact of loneliness in a special programme from the Age UK Milton Keynes run Pear Tree Day Centre. She speaks to some of the people who see the centre as a lifeline, and one of their few chances for social contact. She also speaks to the Care Minister Norman Lamb less than a month after the government described the plight of the UK's 880,000 chronically lonely people as a source of "national shame".
