Aoife O'Donovan in session

All the best in country and roots music, with a Nashville session from Crooked Still's Aoife O'Donovan playing songs from her debut solo album "Fossils".

Aoife has been a professional musician for over a decade now, but it's taken her all of that ten years to get around to recording by herself. In that time she's had her songs recorded by such diverse artists as bluegrass queen Alison Krauss and classical cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and sung in jazz bands, country bands, bluegrass bands and classical ensembles.

Tonight's session is the first time the UK can hear her perform as a solo artists, and it's been well worth the wait!
