Anoushka Shankar Live Session

Anoushka Shankar, one of the world's most accomplished sitar players, joins Bobby Friction during which she will be performing music from her newly released album Traces Of You.

Anoushka Shankar, daughter of maestro sitarist Ravi Shankar will be playing live and speaking to Bobby Friction about her music, her career and her relationship with her sister Norah Jones who accompanies her on the new album.

Bobby Friction says 'Anoushka leads the vanguard for a new generation of Indian Classical musicians in the 21st Century. Her pedigree is impeccable having learnt at the feet of her late father, the legendary Ravi Shankar, and her willingness to experiment makes her an innovative modernist with a classical heart.'

Bobby also plays a track made exclusively by Gujarati music producers, the Raas Masters, for the Asian Network to celebrate the festival of Navratri and made available as a free download on the Asian Network website.
