Jamie Cullum plays an hour of jazz music ranging from its heritage to its future.

This week, Jamie Cullum's special guest is jazz-inspired electronic musician Bonobo who has recorded a session track at BBC Maida Vale Studios.

Bonobo, aka Simon Green, discusses how he first got into jazz and picks a track from Marc Moulin of '70s jazz-rock group Placebo.

The DJ and producer also talks about the jazz influences on his latest album The North Borders. He then introduces a live track called Pieces, recorded at the BBC Maida Vale Studios. The track is from his latest album and features Swedish singer and Portico Quartet collaborator Cornelia.
