In recent years the number of ravens in Scotland has been increasing. At the same time there have been calls for more licenses to be issued to cull ravens that are attacking young livestock. Dougie joins the Scottish raptor Study Group as they set out on a project to find out more about ravens behaviour.

Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards are open to anyone from around the globe - as long as their images are taken in Scotland. For the first time in many years the award has been won by a home-grown photographer, Charlie Phillips from North Kessock, who has been watching the Moray Firth Dolphins for twenty years. Euan went to meet him.

To mark the Year of Natural Scotland Nick visits the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh to celebrate our plantlife and the efforts of RBGE to protect it. RBGE roots were well and truly embedded in the ancient practices of herbal medicine when it was founded as a Physic Garden in the late 17th Century. Herbology draws together several connected branches of botanical science to demonstrate the remarkable therapeutic potential of plants, and the practical applications of this knowledge. Nick visits the Physic Garden and learns about the preparation of some remarkable herbal remedies.
Sarah meets the young couple setting out on a business to be commercial Goat Meat farmers. Victoria Gardner and Adam Wright have a herd of breeding Boer Goats on their farm in Aberdeenshire. Victoria came up with the idea while studying at the Scottish Agriculture College. At first Adam was sceptical but soon became just as passionate about the business.
