Putney phone robbery

What happened?

At around 05:45 on Saturday 13 April a man was violently attacked on board a train home from Waterloo after a night out. CCTV footage shows a male in a hooded jacket and glasses on board the train.

The victim is punched in the face several times leaving him badly injured. His Blackberry mobile and wallet containing credits cards are both stolen.

Lewisham phone robbery

What happened? 

Two men are captured on CCTV hanging around Lewisham railway station at around 23:00 on Tuesday 18 September 2012.

As a train waits at the station, the pair walk along the platform.

One of the men – wearing a checked jacket – spots a passenger through the train window who is on his phone.

He gets on board and grabs the passenger’s mobile before sprinting off.

Brixton phone robbery

What happened?

At approximately 22:45 at Brixton railway station in London on Thursday 19 April 2012, a woman on her phone walks up the station steps. As she does a man in a distinctive check shirt and dark hat passes her and makes a grab for her phone.

She struggles with him but he's determined, forcing her to the floor and then dragging her down the steps, before running off with the phone.

Basildon to Upminster train

What happened?

At around 21:15 on Thursday 25 April a man was robbed on board a train between Basildon and Upminster and ordered to leave. British Transport Police have released CCTV of a man and woman they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery.

The 28-year-old victim was on board a train between Basildon and London when he was approached. His phone was taken and money stolen before he was told to get off the train at Upminster. It is believed that the man and woman seen in the CCTV left the train at Barking.

Two phone thefts in two days: Byfleet/West Byfleet

What happened?

Officers want to speak to these men as they could hold information about phone thefts on trains near West Byfleet in Surrey.

The first robbery took place shortly before 19:00 on the 18:10 service from London Waterloo to West Byfleet.

As the train was approaching West Byfleet, a man snatched a phone from the hands of its owner by leaning over the back of the seat he then ran off the train with another man.

British Transport Police want to speak to anyone with information, particularly the two men pictured in images 1 and 2.

The following day, at 15:10, a man lent over a woman's seat as a train stopped at Byfleet and New Haw station and grabbed her iPhone 4 as she was using it. The man then ran from the station alongside another man.

In relation to the second theft, officers want to identify the men pictured in images 3 and 4.
