Dougie’s Hebridean Bike Ride
Dougie sets off on a three part journey to cycle the Outer Hebrides from South Uist to the Butt of Lewis. Along the way he’ll be picking up stories on the islands. This week he tells the story of Margaret Fay Shaw, a young American woman who cycled the same route in 1926. She fell in love with the place and went on to record the folklore and music of the islands.
Nick goes back to school 2/3
In the first of a three part series Nick visits a school to give a Masterclass in cooking affordable meals with cuts of Scottish red meat.
The interest in native rare breeds is growing with more and more farmers rearing cattle and sheep that were out of fashion for decades. To gauge how popular this sector has become Euan visits a rare breeds sale in Aberdeenshire.
When you own a Classic or Vintage car there must be a temptation to keep it safely locked in a garage rather than risk it on our congested and often potholed roads. But increasingly classic car owners are bringing their cars to Scotland to tour through our stunning scenery. Dougie was given the opportunity to join one such rally in a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.
