Figures released by the Office for National Statistics show that the UK has narrowly avoided a triple dip recession. Growth in the economy from January to March was up by 0.3 per cent. But it seems that it was the service sector brought the economy back from the brink with growth of 0.6 per cent on the quarter, manufacturing also expanded, by 0.2 per cent. But the struggling construction sector saw a drop in output of 2.5 per cent. We speak to an economist about the latest figures.
