Live session from The National
Steve returns from a week long break with another lost 45 from deep within his record collection, and Nico, our kid critic, is back with another video review. Plus, a Good Day Bad Day caller is on the line to pick two records.
Add to this a very special Monday live session from The National. The band join Steve live from the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studio for a live session and chat about their forthcoming album 'Trouble Will Find Me'.
The album is the follow up to their stunning 2010 album 'High Violet' and comes off the back of the band's single 'Bloodbuzz Ohio' being voted number in 4 in 6 Music's 100 Greatest Hits.
The National are an alternative rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. They formed in 1999 before moving to Brooklyn, New York. The band are vocalist Matt Berninger, twins Aaron (guitar and keyboard) and Bryce Dessner (guitar) and Scott (bass) and Bryan Devendorf (drums). The band chat with Steve about the making of the album in the woods of Rhinebeck, New York and how they overcame the pressure of following up such a successful album as 'High Violet'.
