Helen Shapiro
Hardeep’s guest this morning is Helen Shapiro, who rose to fame as a teenager in the 1960’s with hits such as “You Don't Know" and "Walkin' Back to Happiness”. Although Helen was brought up in a traditional Jewish family in the East End of London, she now calls herself a ‘Messianic Jew’ after becoming a believer in Jesus in the late 1980’s. There are up to 5000 Messianic Jews in the UK.
