Blue Note's Don Was in conversation

At the end of 2012, Gilles caught up with Don Was, record producer to the stars, and current President of Blue Note Record, at his offices in New York city. The two discuss their shared love of jazz, whilst touching on Don's career as an artist, his work as a record producer, and now his role heading up arguably the most famous jazz label of them all...
Gilles Peterson has a skill for joining the musical dots, linking the musical heritage of the past with the progressive innovation of the future, and drawing upon his distinguished career as a DJ and A&R man.
He plays three hours of soul, hip-hop, house, Afro, Latin, electronica, jazz and beyond, with interviews and sessions from legends of the scene as well as the leaders of the new school.
