Seconds out it's the long awaited return of Fight Club. This week's challenger is presenter Terry Christian, does he have the tunes to take on Craig Charles Trunk of Funk. Who has the best record collection, who can unearth those forgotten gems, who will be triumphant? All will be revealed as these 2 funk and soul afficionados go toe to toe in a music clash of epic proportions. Plus we let a lucky listener take over the airwaves with Spinage a Trois, Craig invites you for some more Choir Practice and then it's non stop funky tuneage from 8.

  • The A-Z of Funk: The Rules

Over the next 26 weeks, we’re going to do the A-Z of Funk, and I need your help with where to go next!

I’m going to start with A this week, and next week will go to B, but the suggestions have to have some connection, however loose, with the previous suggestion.

So, for example, if R was Ramsey Lewis, S could be for Marlena Shaw as they both had storming versions of Wade In Water.

Remember though, it doesn’t have to be an artist - it could be a place, an instrument, an album title, a record label, anything, as long as it has a connection with the letter before.

This week I start it all off with A, and A is for Africa, as ‘It All Began In Africa’. What or who should come next?
