The Nation's Favourite No 2 Single: The Top 40

Welcome to the Official Top 40 of the nation's favourite singles which never quite made it to the top of the Official Singles Chart.

The Nation's Favourite No 2 Single: The Top 40

For this show, we asked a panel of music experts, including some of Radio 2's DJs to compile a list of around 100 classic number two hits. Radio 2 listeners were invited to vote for their favourites.

We used the results of that vote to compile this definitive chart of the nation's favourite number 2 records.
