Tom and the 6 Music listeners compile a Specials themed playlist to tie in with their session for Steve Lamacq. They are one of the most iconic bands of their generation, and enjoyed huge success between 1979 and 1981, when the band split. They reformed in 2008 and have made various live appearances since.
The show delved into their back catalogue, as well as looking at their peers, collaborators, and people they've performed live with. The playlist included tracks from The Clash, Desmond Dekker, The Slits, The Beat, Gorillaz and The Go-Gos amongst others.
