Being a part of BBC Radio 2's Friday Night Is Music Night was such an incredible experience. The orchestra were sensational and being conducted by the wonderful Larry Blank was the icing on the cake. I felt truly honoured to have been invited to celebrate the music of Marvin Hamlische.

"I was privileged to be asked by Larry Blank to be a part of the Marvin Hamlisch tribute concert as I've always been a huge fan of his work and after hearing the BBC concert orchestra playing the beautiful selection from 'Sophie's Choice', I've just bought the cd. I had such a brilliant time working with such talents as Louise, Sharon, Capital Voices and the wonderful BBC concert orchestra and the crowd were incredible! Thank you!"

Being part of the Marvin Hamlisch evening was a real privilege. Firstly you have the opportunity to sing with a fabulous 65 piece Orchestra, a joy that is becoming a rarer thing. When the orchestra is usually in the pit, to have that wall of sound washing over you, being able to feel & truly be part of the music is a glorious treat.
Then you have Mr Hamlisch's wonderful melodic, dramatic, iconic songs. Songs that are a joy to sing. Capital Voices providing their high standard warm, dynamic blend of accompanying vocals. The wonderful vocals of Louise Dearman & Andrew Playfoot, all lead by the Legend that is Larry Blank. Your listeners are in for a real treat.
I was proud to be a part of such a heartfelt tribute. -
