It is wedding day in Hebburn. Though Jack and Sarah may technically already be married and really, it is just a blessing, Pauline and Dot are treating it like their special day.
The bridesmaids are a vision in Dot's choice of buttercup yellow - but Sarah would prefer it if Denise stopped reminding her of when she and Jack were seeing each other. Joe gives his son a pre-wedding pep talk and a gift that has been handed down the generations that will bring luck and as happy a marriage as his wife will allow. His top piece of advice is that there is always time for a swift one at Swayze's.
However the rush to get to the church on time leaves Pauline exasperated and Joe exhausted as Hebburn's wedding ends in heartbreak.
