Scotland's countryside magazine. Dougie meets the entrepreneurial fruit farmer who has found a gap in the market for late season Scottish blueberries. Sarah hops on the community bus helping to draw visitors to the Ring of Breadalbane and Euan completes his musical journey down the River Spey.

    Dougie meets fruit farmer, Ross Mitchell from Castleton Farm in Kincardineshire who is successfully growing blueberries in late summer and early Autumn when no other part of the world can produce the fruit. He has literally found a huge gap in the market and his blueberries are in great demand from the supermarkets.

    Euan concludes his journey through Wester Ross meeting the local producers fighting to protect the great seafood larder on their doorstep. This week Euan takes a trip on a local creel boat.

    Sarah is in central Perthshire to meet the tourism businesses who have joined together to create a circular bus service around the Ring of Breadalbane. One bus runs clockwise, the other anti-clockwise. The service links local towns and villages along with a number of tourist destinations.

    Over the last two weeks Sarah has seen sixty thousand geese take off from Montrose basin and watched the annual deer rut in the Cairngorms. This week she is in Orkney looking for seals and their new-born pups.

  • Whisky River Boat band

    Whisky River Boat band

    Euan joins the Whisky River Boat band on the final leg of their tour down the River Spey. Each year the band canoe down the River stopping at venues to play gigs. The tour ends with a concert on the beach at Spey Bay.
