Among the items brought before the experts are a stash of rare and valuable advertising signs found on a tip, a religious painting with a tantalising question of fake or fortune, part of an Apollo spaceship given to a young boy in the 1960s, and one of the most exquisite pieces of oriental ceramics ever seen on the show. But it is a small piece of plastic that gets the best reaction.
