Anne-Marie meets up with bird expert Dot Bleakley at the flood gates, just outside Newtownards, as thousands of pale bellied brent geese begin to gather for winter.

The birds make the 3000km journey each year from the Canadian Artic, over the sea ice of Baffin Bay and the huge Greenland Ice Cap to the shores of Strangford Lough.

It’s a sight that fascinates many bird watchers.
