Jenni speaks to three women from the Rochdale Muslim community about the impact that this case has had on them.   • Rochdale Grooming Convictions

    In May this year nine men from Rochdale in Lancashire, were sentenced to a total of 77 years in prison for the grooming and sexual abuse of young girls. The men were Asian (eight from Pakistan and one from Afghanistan) and their victims were white. Judge Gerald Clifton sentencing them at Liverpool Crown Court said: “All of you treated (the victims) as though they were worthless and beyond any respect… One of the factors leading to that was the fact that they were not part of your community or religion.” Jenni speaks to three women from the Rochdale Muslim community about the impact that this case has on them, their families and their community.

In his new book ‘Three Good Things’ he aims to make cooking as simple as possible with his theory that if you put three good ingredients on a plate, the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts. He combines blackberries, apple and cream into the perfect fruity granita.
