Arts Officer Jenna Holmes tells us about her favourite section of the museum:

"Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall were all written in this room. The sisters would write here every evening, staying up late after their father had gone to bed. They would circle the table, sharing words and ideas.

After her sisters died, Charlotte used to circle the table alone. In this room there is also the sofa that Emily Bronte is reported to have died on. And in the photograph you can also see costumes worn by Michael Fassbender and Imogen Poots in the 2011 film version of Jane Eyre."
