50 years on, we join the young medical undergraduate Finlay, who has ambitions to be a surgeon, as he concludes his final exams. In this, the first ever episode broadcast of the classic Scottish drama, Dr Finlay's Casebook, the ambitious and forward-looking student doctor Finlay, played by the dapper Bill Simpson, investigates a medical conundrum.
Finlay's landlord disappears under suspicious circumstances and Finlay's investigation leads him to his first encounter with the mature and pragmatic Doctor Cameron, portrayed by the veteran actor Andrew Cruickshank, and a life-changing visit to Tannochbrae!
