T-Bone Walker BBC Archive Track

Duration:
57 minutes
First broadcast:
Tuesday 21 August 2012

Jamie Cullum plays an hour of jazz music ranging from its heritage to its future.

This week, Jamie plays a gem he recently discovered in the BBC archives: a session featuring blues singer T-Bone Walker, performing at London's Poplar Town Hall back in November 1967.

The concert included an all-star line-up of jazz artists including Dizzy Gillespie on trumpet, Zoot Sims on tenor saxophone, Bob Cranshaw on bass, Clark Terry on flugelhorn and Louis Belson on drums.
