Tanya speculates about what might have happened to her long lost sister, Ava. Max’s refuses to pass on Cora’s message that Tanya should leave her alone, insisting all Tanya wants is the truth. Cora visits Tanya adamant Tanya had no right going through her things. Tanya pushes Cora and she eventually blurts out that Ava died as a baby. Later, Tanya finds Cora burning Ava’s birth certificate. When Tanya tells Cora she doesn’t know why she lied all those years, Cora rounds on her - Tanya’s whole life has been about lies! She tells Tanya to get out. Lauren’s excited when she receives details of the ‘Gigging Something Back’ scheme she signed herself, Lucy and Whitney up for but is horrified when she discovers they’ll be feeding the homeless.
Lola starts her community service, picking up litter with a group of other girls. Lola overhears Lucy talking about her scornfully. Lola confronts Lucy, who just drops a used napkin on the ground in front of her. Lola misses Lexi but the group leader, Sarah, is unsympathetic. When Lola’s told off for using her phone, another girl, Shaiyana, pulls out hers. Sarah’s unimpressed when Billy, Jay and Ben turn up with Lexi.
Syed’s anxious, his Olympic merchandise hasn’t arrived. Angry after Syed refers to Yasmin as his daughter, Christian goes against his wishes and enters Yasmin in the Top Tots competition.
Zainab’s not happy when she discovers Masood’s got an interview for a teaching assistant job, but is supportive after Syed reminds her teaching’s Masood’s dream. Masood tells Syed he’s been offered the position but it’s part-time and a lot less money than he’s on. Realising how much Zainab’s dream wedding and Tamwar’s studies will cost Masood claims to Zainab he didn’t get the job.
