Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra: Live from Stirling

Jamie MacDougall presents the world-class Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra from Venezuela live from the Raploch in Stirling, home to Sistema Scotland, the UK's first El Sistema orchestra.

For four years Sistema Scotland have been working in Raploch, Stirling introducing the Venezuelan 'El Sistema' orchestra programme to help transform one of the most challenged communities in Scotland. With 450 children participating (in a community which numbers just 3000) the programme is making a real difference and this year they welcome the inspirational Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra with their Music Director Gustavo Dudamel who is also the Patron for Sistema Scotland. This is the official opening event of the London 2012 Festival.
