The iconic symbol of the Olympic Games is coming to Northern Ireland and torchbearers will carry the torch through over fifty villages, towns and cities. The last night of the relay in Northern Ireland will finish at Belfast City Hall with a huge outdoor celebration. BBC Northern Ireland cameras will be there to capture the sights and the sounds of this momentous occasion. Presented by Gavin Andrews and Claire McCollum.

    The iconic Olympic Torch is coming to Northern Ireland from Saturday, June 02 to Thursday, June 07 and BBC NI will be there every step of the journey as it lights the way through more than 50 villages, towns and cities carried by hundreds of local torchbearers.

    As the spirit of the Olympics reaches these shores, BBC Northern Ireland will follow the journey across TV, radio and online
    building towards live coverage of the celebration as the Olympic Flame arrives at Belfast City Hall on Wednesday, June 06.

    We will be there capturing the sense and sounds of the occasion with a live half-hour programme on BBC One NI from 7pm.
