Clare Teal presents the best in big band sounds - old and new. Including vintage sounds from Teddy Hill and Gene Krupa plus a celebration of arranger Gil Evans. Gil, who was born on 13 May 1912 was one of the jazz and big band world's most influential arrangers of the second half of the 20th Century. Featuring a variety of Gil's work written for trumpeter Miles Davis, singer Astrud Gilberto and guitarist Kenny Burrell.
