Chichester Festival Theatre Special

Stars Julian Ovenden (Foyles War, Marguerite, The Forsyte Saga) and Laura Wright (Young Chorister of the Year) take to the stage for Friday Night Is Music Night's annual date at the Chichester Festival Theatre in the heart of West Sussex. Performing songs from their new albums - including When I Loved You and The Rose - Julian and Laura join the 70 piece BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Richard Balcombe. Ken Bruce hosts the evening and reminds us of the delights of Leonard Bernstein, William Tell, Andrew Lloyd Webber and John Williams.

Meanwhile, tonight's special interval feature marks the 50th anniversary of the Chichester Festival Theatre. Actress Patricia Hodge (Miranda) talks to past luminaries to discover the secret of this great theatre's success, as well as looking to the future, and one project in particular that's fostering the next generation of theatre makers.
