Jo Whiley presents highlights of Florence + The Machine in concert at London's Alexandra Palace earlier this month.
25-year old BBC Introducing alumnus Florence Welch signposted her stellar rise to fame by picking up the Critics Choice Award at the 2009 Brits, and she was recently nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist (losing out to the indomitable Adele).
Florence plays hits from her debut album, Lungs, which climbed to the top of the charts at the beginning of 2010, and last year's Number 1 follow-up Ceremonials.
These are highlights of a concert broadcast originally on BBC Radio 6 Music. It forms part of their 10th birthday celebrations which include Maida Vale sessions from Spiritualized, Orbital, De La Soul, Paul Weller, and a special event at London's Southbank Centre featuring Public Image Ltd, Laura Marling, Gruff Rhys and many more.
