Johnnie Walker spins the hits and digs out the rarities from the decade we went decimal. This week JJ Burnel from The Stranglers remembers his 70s.

Following the release of a new studio album Giants, and in the midst of a new tour, the bass guitarist and songwriter with The Stranglers goes back 35 years to remember their success. From Peaches to No More Heroes, The Stranglers walked the line from punk to new wave and JJ remembers the band's formation, their success and the music of their contemporaries.

Johnnie also spins tracks from Janis Joplin's posthumous album Pearl, playing favourite tracks and telling the story behind the 1971 album, with archive clips from Janis and famous fans.
