    SIMON AND ALISON DENNIS

Simon and Alison married young. They were both Christians, both serious about marriage, ideally matched. They were regarded as the perfect couple. Simon was a church leader. They took marriage seminars, instructing people who were thinking about getting married. Then, something went wrong, and Simon felt himself drawn into an affair that he thought he could control, but could not. Simon left home and they were apart for 2 years. Miraculously they were reconciled, and Simon went through the painful process of discovering how he was tempted into an extra marital affair and whether it could ever happen again.

    DAN HEAD

Dan works as a Resettlement Worker at Yeldall Manor, a place which helped him to come off drugs, and where he now helps others to overcome their addictions. Dan was a drug addict for many years, on Class A drugs, having taken drugs from a young age – drawn into them in search of status and a need to belong. Years of addiction to heroin and cocaine followed, and all the usual trappings – homelessness, prison, etc, until Dan began to open himself to God, and explore de-tox programs and resettlement programs. Over the next few years Dan relapsed severed times and but has now been free of drugs for several years. Now, he helps others come off drugs, but speaks honestly about how the temptation of heroin will always be there, and how he deals with that temptation when it strikes.

    ALEX ARTHUR

Alex Arthur, nicknamed "Amazing" Alex Arthur, is a professional boxer from Edinburgh. He is a former British, Commonwealth, European Boxing Union (EBU) and WBO super featherweight champion. Alex discovered faith in God, and the attraction of boxing, when he was still a child. When Alex achieved fame as a young man, his life was turned upside down. Fame went to his head, and his childhood faith began to be sidelined. As a celebrated boxer, Alex thrived on public adoration, and loved to be recognised in public. He began to think that he was invincible – until he was beaten in the boxing ring by a man he considered a much weaker fighter than him – and it changed his life. After the defeat, Alex opened his bible, and it brought him back down to earth.
