The event is the first to be held at the Olympic Velodrome and is a test event for this summer's Games, so offers a priceless chance for riders to get a feel for the track.

Cycling is expected to be one of Great Britain's most successful sports at the 2012 Olympics, and the weekend will be an opportunity to see how Britain's best hopes, including the likes of reigning Olympic champions Sir Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton, are faring in the build-up to the London Games.
