With Chris Isaak and a celebration of The Clash's debut LP

Duration:
1 hour, 56 minutes
First broadcast:
Sunday 19 February 2012

Johnnie Walker spins the hits and digs out the rarities from the decade of strikes, Space Hoppers and Saturday Night Fever.

This week he's joined by Wicked Game musician Chris Isaak, who remembers growing up in Stockton, California in the 70s, listening to Glen Campbell, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Randy Newman.

Dave Hopwood from Linton in Exmoor also shares his My 70s with memories of Magazine, Blondie and Wreckless Eric.

And our featured album is the debut release by one of the most beloved bands to come out of the punk movement: The Clash. Johnnie tells the story of its creation, plays tracks from the album, and hears clips from the inimitable Joe Strummer.
