Synopsis

Each week Aled Jones plays tracks from a broad musical spectrum, that celebrates both our choral traditions and the vibrant world of modern music as well as spiritually uplifting and reflective music. He also discusses religious and ethical issues of the week with faith representatives.

Aled Jones says Good Morning Sunday to former Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey. Our faith guest is journalist Abdel Rehman Malik who will also bring our 'moment of reflection.'.

The Rt Revd and Rt Hon. George Carey, Baron Carey of Clifton, PC, was Archbishop of Canterbury from 1991 to 2002. He joins Aled to talk about the state of religion in Britain in light of his new book ‘We Don’t Do God: The Marginilization of Public Faith.”

Jenny Barsby joins Aled to talk about Tendagrave, a website launched for people who find it difficult to maintain relatives and friends’ graves. Tendagrave helps you get in touch with other people in a similar situation, and then you can then offer to tend a grave in your local area, and in return, your loved one’s grave will also be looked after.

Abdul-Rehman Malik

Abdul-Rehman Malik is a London-based journalist. Formerly a contributing editor at Q-News, he is currently programmes' manager for the Radical Middle Way, a civil society organisation that works in the UK and abroad to combat exclusion and violence to encourage faith inspired social action.
