The show that celebrates the best in British tradesmanship continues. Four gifted young gardeners get downright dirty as they battle it out for the title, with one of the finalists being just 16 years old. Challenges include dispensing with plush decking and fancy ceramic pots and replacing them with unwanted wheelbarrows, battered old buckets and anything else that might be lying around, to make a backyard fit for 21st-century life.
Judging them are Alex Denman, manager of the internationally-renowned Chelsea Flower Show, and Blue Peter gardener extraordinaire, Chris Collins. Their green fingers will certainly get tested to the max, but who will become the cream of the crop and walk away with the title of Young Gardener of the Year?
