Andy has spent all his working life in the John Lewis Partnership, joining after graduating from Oxford with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics in 1985. After initial postings in the John Lewis department stores, he ran one of the Partnership’s production facilities before returning to the department stores as Managing Director, John Lewis Milton Keynes in 1993.
In February 2007 Andy became Managing Director of the John Lewis Division, responsible for all activities within John Lewis.
Andy is also Vice Chairman of The Performances Birmingham Limited Board of Trustees, responsible for running the City’s Symphony and Town Halls. He is also on the London First Board, member of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Group and also recently appointed Chair of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
kevin Wood, Chief Executive of First Family Entertainment
Over the last twenty-five years Kevin has been responsible for hundreds of Christmas productions. As the Chief Executive of First Family Entertainment he enjoys a position at the very forefront of a great British theatrical tradition.
Kevin Wood began his career with Alan Ayckbourn at Scarborough, and has been directing and producing plays and musicals since 1980. After a seven year acting career he became the founding Artistic Director of Channel Theatre Company, an Arts Council subsidised company serving the South East of England. He moved into commercial theatre in 1985 when the Board refused to let him produce a pantomime. As he had already signed the contract for the pantomime he had no option but to form Kevin Wood Productions, four years later he was the third largest pantomime producer in the UK.
