Among the highlights are saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings and his street music-inspired band The Sons of Kemet, young Edinburgh trio NeWt, and Northern Irish composer Sid Peacock with his big band Surge. Next week the programme covers the best international music to have been featured in 2011.
