In the lead up to 6 Music at Hay festival, almost a year after his passing, another chance to hear Iain Banks on the 6 Music series Paperback Writers, in which he shares his favourite music and stories about his life. This programme was first broadcast in November 2011.

Iain Banks aka Iain M Banks (in his sci-fi guise) was the man behind transfixing novels Complicity and Wasp Factory. Iain's wit and music carries you through the hour where you'll journey with him back to his colourful student days in Scotland, to squats in England and finally a serene life in the wilds of Scotland.
